Out of the ashes and broken concrete, an absolute miracle rises!
My painting, "Uprooted" being found unharmed in the rubble of the Chernobyl National Museum on May 26. A missile struck the building in Kyiv(on May 24, 2026) and it caught fire, only 40% of contents have been recovered. Many other cultural sites were also destroyed, damaged and bombarded in this ongoing war with Russia. I wasn't sure my painting survived, which has been part of the permanent collection for over 25 years.
